Ring sleeve
B. inherited her mum’s ring, but although it held great sentimental value, it wasn’t quite her style.
She wanted something chunkier and was drawn to a previous commission where I had created a sleeve to transform a delicate ring into a more substantial piece.
We used the same approach here, creating a new, bolder ring that complements the original without altering it. This meant B. could give her mum’s ring a new feel while keeping the original piece completely intact — preserving both its history and its meaning.
I love the ring sleeve which has turned a special but old style ring into a much admired contemporary one. I found the commissioning process fascinating, with An guiding me every step of the process. Thank you
